Don’t know the difference between a cardinal buoy or a lateral buoy? These aids could potentially save you from requiring the help of our rescue crew!

Tides and weather are a key part of having a good time on the water. Around our area are places only accessible during high tide. Consequently when it is low we have some beautiful sandy beaches to enjoy.

Before you head out please take a moment to check the forecast and tides. Let us help you prepare for the worst. If you are not sure what safety items you require check out Transport Canada’s Safe Boating Guide.RMSAR App

RCM-SAR also has a free Safe Boating Application available. This was developed by a member in our region. It has planning checklists, emergency procedures, safe fueling tips and much more. Download it on the App Store or get it on Google Play.

The Canadian Coast Guard publishes Notices to Mariners (NOTMAR) monthly. These important notices will help you keep your charts and nautical publications up to date. It will also keep you informed of important news in the maritime community.
